Hi {{first_name}},

We often find ourselves trapped in a paradigm of duality:

  • Us vs. them

  • Black vs. white

  • Good vs. bad

  • Angel vs. devil

This "either/or" concept consistently influences the choices people make, their beliefs, and who they support. But what if it were possible to embrace both? Could you truly handle that integration?

When we examine our inner landscape, are we purely beings of light, love, and all things pleasant? The reality is no. To be human is to hold the darkness, the ugliness, the bad habits, patterns, and programming.

The critical question is: Can you hold space for your darker aspects while still aiming toward the light? Even better, can you appreciate and accept the darkness as an essential part of the truly unique being you are?

My deepest moments of darkness—the deep sadness of family drama, sudden loss, and the challenges of day-to-day caretaking—have been my greatest teachers, ultimately bringing my best self forward. It was at my limit, when my faith and mental fortitude were tested, that I discovered my inner light.

Now, in this next phase, I partner with my shadows for healing and growth. I choose to embrace rather than deny. I love myself fully and completely, including the dark sides of my past and the patterns that brought me here.

This integration empowers me. When someone mistreats me or takes advantage of my kindness, I call forward "scary Lisa"—the one who defends herself fearlessly. When I do deep healing work with clients battling their own demons, I call upon the powerful, dark allies to meet that fire with fire. We uncover deep truths and heal trauma to bring the light forward.

This is true integration: not choosing one over the other—lightness over darkness—but recognizing that each serves a vital purpose in our experience.

Something to Try

  1. When was the last time you connected to a dark part of yourself? Could be a habit, addiction, response, etc…

  2. What was that part? How do you feel when you bring it forward?

  3. Can you alchemize the negative feelings toward this dark part to see it as an ally?

  4. Extra: share a time you have used your dark parts as a healthy ally.

I wrote a book!

It took 5 years - a huge thank you to my early supporters as the first iteration was a crowdfunding campaign -you’ll be receiving a book in the mail!

2 drafts spanning 5 years of writing, starting, stopping and then starting again; a fabulous editor; and wonderful graphic designer have helped me to birth my first book, It All Begins With You.

Since you’re on this list and you’ve read to the bottom of this email, I’d love to hear you perspective. Below is the book cover I’ve selected and shared with many on social media.

A little more about the book:

Are you ready to transform your life from chaotic to calm, from stressed to serene? Imagine waking up every day feeling balanced, energized, and true to yourself. This book is your roadmap to upgrading your life, helping you juggle career, family, and personal fulfillment with ease. Discover how to share your gifts and skills, living not just for yourself, but for the impact you can make on others. It's time to embrace your highest capacity and live the life you've always desired.

Best wishes & many blessings,

Lisa

Turns out the last newsletter (36 Hours in the Analog World) really resonated with many of you. I received lots of emails, messages and replies about the message. Sharing just a few that were short and sweet but may echo your sentiment.

I’ll definitely be doing this. The time is just (miraculously) right: I’m recovering from knee replacement surgery which in itself creates a huge opportunity for rest and reflection.
