Studies show that breaks make you more productive
Hello Elite Being!
It’s been a minute, 7 months to be exact; I was taking a break.
Hello friend and happy Autumn,
It’s been about 7 months since I’ve last written and sent a newsletter; what a journey it has been!
I’ve accomplished a lot, had lots of meltdowns, breakthroughs and sadness. Also, happiness, joy, fun, play and re-experiencing familiar places and stages from my life.
I moved back to Northern California to support a wonderful family.
I’ve become a Certified Postpartum Doula!
And have been challenging myself with being a balanced human; something that I continue to work on.
Been finding time for play, sun, spa, wine, and great food to balance my work.
I’ve been actively managing my self-sabotaging tendencies and receiving all of the wonderful things that I have called into my life.
I’ve been allowing myself to take a break - from instagram, from posting on YouTube and from this newsletter.
Why?
Because to be my best self, breaks are necessary.

In the spiritual sense, I’ve discovered some new skills and strengths that have been fun to share with my close community.
You know that feeling that you’ve met someone before- there is a connection, a bond or sometime of closeness after a short time together?

Something to try :
Give yourself a break.
Is there an area of life where you beat yourself up?
One way to notice this is to be aware of the words you say to yourself when things don’t go how you want them to…
You skip a workout and call yourself lazy.
You drop a plate on the ground and it breaks and you refer to yourself as “stupid and clumsy”.
You feel yourself getting sick because you’ve been overworking and decide to “push through” and continue on your 50-hour workweek.
I challenge you to give yourself a break. I challenge you to tell yourself something different than what you’ve been saying all along - change your perspective and notice that getting sick or being clumsy are your body’s way of saying, “take a break!”
